Kathleen Jackowski earned her bachelor's degree in early education from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN and began her teaching career as a first grade teacher at Christ the King School in 1997. She spent six years teaching in the Fulton County school system and “retired” when she started her family in 2003.

From 2003 to 2013, Kathleen dedicated herself to raising her 3 boys; Will, Drew, and Kyle, with her husband Kris. She longed to return to teaching when the timing was right. Ms. Kathleen, as she is known to her students, has been an integral part of the Our Lady of the Assumption Preschool since joining the team. Kathleen served as a lead teacher and an assistant to the director for 9 years before stepping into the role of director in 2023. She is incredibly devoted to the Preschool program, the children, the staff, and the OLA community and eternally grateful to our previous director, Mrs. Debbie Kehoe, for her support, guidance, and mentorship.
