Faith
Our Catholic faith is an integral part of OLA Preschool. We are blessed to have the opportunity to take our students into the Sanctuary for weekly Chapel lessons.
Our teachers work to captivate the children with Bible stories and real life connections in the classroom. All classes follow a Bible curriculum with monthly themes and lessons that follow the liturgical calendar.
We enjoy visits from the Marist priests who serve OLA and visiting bishops, and serving our community with monthly service projects.
Music
In addition to the music activities that our teachers include in their daily schedule, every class participates in a weekly music class.

Ms. Rebecca integrates traditional and contemporary religious songs into her classes in addition to the tried and true preschool favorites.
​
The children are introduced to various instruments and styles of music throughout the year.
​
Ms. Rebecca also works with the teachers and children to put on a special program for our families at Christmas and the end of the year.
Movement
A child's gross motor skills and coordination are developing rapidly at the preschool age.
With our movement teacher, Ms. Peggy, children explore play environments, movement games, obstacle courses and more designed to support physical, social and language development.

Children will develop a sense of independence and confidence as their motor skills develop.
The class also emphasizes the importance of following directions, patience and sportsmanship.
Spanish
Our two-year-old classes and older attend a 30 minute Spanish class once a week.

Ms. Maria provides this Spanish instruction through engaging stories, songs, movement games and hands on activities and projects.
​
The children are introduced to not only the Spanish language and vocabulary but to the traditions and culture of Spanish communities around the world as well.
After-school
The preschool offers several after-school classes to allow families an extra hour in the afternoons. Registration forms for these classes are emailed to families in August for the fall semester and in December for the spring semester.

Sports/Movement is offered on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Ballet is offered through Creative Movement and Dance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Yoga is offered on Mondays.​
Sports/Lunch Bunch is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 am-12:45pm for our younger 2s/Ladybugs class.
